Day ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery.

VietNow’s 2007 Veteran of the Year
award was presented to John Molloy. The
award was presented during the National
Vietnam & Gulf War Veterans Coalition’s
Leadership Breakfast. John has made a life-long
commitment to helping veterans. He has
spent a vast amount of time promoting and
lobbying for veterans issues. John always
puts a heavy emphasis on the POW/MIA issue.
John is a survivor of both attacks on the
World Trade towers and lost many friends
and coworkers during these tragedies. His
concern for veterans is truly a passion
from the heart.

The 2007 Colt Leadership Award was presented
to VietNow Vice President Jim Stepanek
by J. Thomas Burch, past chairman of the
National Vietnam & Gulf War Veterans
Coalition at the Coalition’s Leadership
Breakfast on November 9, 2007. Stepanek
joins VietNow National President Rich Sanders
as a recipient of this coveted award. Sanders
was presented the Colt Leadership Award
in 2003.

New York subway hero, Wesley Autrey was
a guest at the LZ/DC banquet on November
10, 2007. During the banquet program,
VietNow National President, Rich Sanders
presented Navy veteran Autrey with a
life membership to VietNow for the life-saving
heroism which he displayed while saving
a person who had fallen on the subway
tracks in New York City on January 2,
2007. Autrey, shown with his nephew Erroll
P. Henry, Jr., proudly wore his new VietNow
hat during the evening’s activities.
